Things I am doing differently during my second pregnancy

Changed my prenatal vitamin. This second pregnancy (while desperately wished for) snuck up on us this summer. I am still breastfeeding my daughter and had only had one cycle before we fell pregnant. With that being said, I was NOT taking a prenatal. As soon as I found out, I ordered one which is a different one than I took the first time. Why? It has been third party tested for glyphosate and heavy metals. I was not riding the glyphosate train 2 years ago when I got pregnant with my daughter. It is from a brand I have researched and trust, formulated by a Dr. and mom who is very transparent on her socials.
We do not plan on finding out the gender! We found out what my daughter was going to be very early on and I was WRONG about her. I thought she was a boy based on the old wives tale of not having any morning sickness. This time around I want to be surprised and I may have my husband finally on board! I think the anticipation of waiting and knowing what is at the end of labor is so exciting.
Not stressing over the little things so much. As a first time mom, it is so common to worry about every little cramp, every little ache, every little symptom. This time around, I have a little more experience and am remaining calm throughout. There is so much checking up of baby these days that I am confident that all will go well!
Receiving care from a midwife instead of an OB/GYN. Midwives generally use fewer interventions and have better birth outcomes. I wanted a little more personalized and holistic care this time.
Taking a probiotic. I am taking a pregnancy safe probiotic for improved digestion and less inflammation.
I told family and close friends almost immediately. I was so excited to share this news that I couldn't wait! I waited TOO DAMN LONG when i was pregnant with my daughter to share the news- even with my sister (!!!)
