Starting or continuing your health/wellness journey can be overwhelming. How do you start? How do you know what is important? There are so many things to think about with your wellness journey: food, beauty products, cleaning supplies, fitness/movement, clothing, etc.
BUT WHERE DO I START? HOW DO I START?
pick three things to start with

What did I start with?
I no longer eat cereal for breakfast.
What do we eat? I started with stove-top oatmeal made with milk and added eggs. Then I incorporated more protein meals. Now, I enjoy chia seed pudding, eggs with bacon, or sourdough einkorn waffles. We still have oatmeal a few times a week when I need a quick breakfast.
Store bought bread is junk. What even is a dough conditioner? This might seem daunting for some and not the best choice if you're not passionate about baking. Before I made this decision, I was already baking some of our bread. I started with regular yeast, then switched to sourdough. Now, I usually bake with einkorn flour using a dry sourdough starter. Do NOT let this intimidate you. If I don't have time to make bread, we simply don't eat it. This rule has naturally led us to consume much less bread. I still often use regular yeast instead of sourdough if I'm pressed for time, especially in winter.
I no longer consume seed oils.
What are seed oils? canola, vegetable, sunflower, rapeseed, safflower, etc. Its. in. every. thing. This transition took time as I learned how to substitute and adjust our diet to eliminate them. Although I never cooked with seed oils, doing so would have been my initial step. I became adept at reading ingredient labels. I occasionally purchase Siete and Boulder chips. I mastered popping popcorn on the stovetop instead of using the microwave. The stovetop popcorn is absolutely incredible!
These HUGE changes have completely changed my families habits.
